Hanjie Puzzles
Hanjie is the name by which nonograms became known in British newspapers in the 1990s. The puzzle itself is the same: number clues for each row and column describe blocks of filled cells, and solving them reveals a hidden picture.
This page opens a 15×15 hanjie. Choose a smaller grid in the menu if you're new, or try the daily 10×10 on the homepage.
Hanjie in five steps
- Read the clues for a row or column.
- Fill any cells that must be filled.
- Mark cells that must be empty with X.
- Move to a crossing line and use the new information.
- Repeat until the picture appears.
